Over the years, I have been struggling with my weight. When I came to the United States my weight went from 137 lbs to 253 lbs in 24-30 months. I reached my highest weight in high school at the age of 16, 253 lbs. when I turned 19 I decided to make a change for the better and take care of myself in every way possible.
I started my diet program with Dr. Aziz at Decalo Medical Group, I was under a doctor supervised weight loss program that consisted on an appetite suppressant, water pill and an injections with b12, b6 and lipotropin.
I also started exercising 3-6 times a week, getting my meals in was always difficult since I had a full time job and part time student, I tried to eat 5 times a day small meals apples, strawberries and replacement meals (protein smoothies) were my best friends. I cut off any relationships with sodas and tried to get at least 66 oz. of water intake. I wasn't easy, I still working on my weight but ever since I made that commitment things have improved rather quickly, I lost 73 lbs and I know I am not where I want to be but just because you don't see any dramatic difference, doesn't mean your body isn‘t changing. Starting is always easy, keep on going is the challenge.
